Welcome to LinkWise ("the Service"). We care about your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Account information
When you register or sign in we may collect your email address, an account identifier from our auth provider (Supabase Auth), and any profile details you choose to provide.
1.2 Content you create
When you extract, save, or import bookmarks we may collect URLs you submit; page titles, descriptions, summaries, keywords, and categories; bookmark import file contents (used only to populate your library); and search queries needed to run search.
1.3 Technical and log data
To keep the Service secure and reliable we may collect IP address, request timestamps, browser type, coarse device information, error logs, and cookies or similar technologies for session management. We do not collect your full browsing history. The Chrome extension reads the current tab URL/title only when you take action.
2. How we use information
We use data to provide and improve the Service, authenticate accounts, enforce security and rate limits, send important notices, and comply with law when required. We do not sell your private bookmark content to advertisers.
3. Third parties and AI processing
To deliver core features we may send necessary data to:
| Provider | Purpose | Data that may be sent |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and authentication | Account and bookmark data |
| DeepSeek | AI summaries and keywords | Title, description, URL text |
| Alibaba Cloud DashScope (Qwen) | Semantic search embeddings | Title, summary, keywords, description |
| Vercel | Hosting and APIs | Request logs, IP, technical metadata |
Submitting content to third-party AI services may involve cross-border transfer. We send only the minimum data required for each feature.
4. Storage and security
Your bookmarks are private by default and visible only to you. We use reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security. You may delete individual bookmarks at any time; contact us below to request account deletion.
5. Cookies
We use cookies or local storage for essential functions such as sign-in. Disabling them may prevent login or break parts of the Service.
6. Your rights
Where applicable law allows, you may access or correct personal data, delete bookmarks or request account deletion, and export your data when that feature is available.
7. Children
The Service is intended for general adult use. If you are under the age required in your jurisdiction, use the Service only with a parent or guardian's consent.
8. Policy updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the site. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
9. Contact
Questions or requests about this policy: reach us via the project repository issue tracker or the channel where you obtained the Service.
This policy is provided for the current product stage and is not formal legal advice. Review with counsel before commercial launch in your jurisdiction.
